  • Excelent Project, I am using it in my Home Media Network
  • I am using freenas as our file server and archive for public documents and client files for legal storage. we have a terrabite backup drive as well as the inbuilt software raid 5. this is all hosted on an Aries Pentium 4 1000mz PC. this is proving reliable for our needs at present but will upgrade the server in time and include hardware raid 5 and hot swap. I can recomend this as a viable alternative to spending the whole IT Budget on a comercial solution. IT Havering Citizens Advice Bureau
  • I using FreeNAS about two years - any problem!!!
  • Not quite service provider ready yet, but its on its way...
  • A dream come true!
  • It's an amazing project that has so much more to offer than a simple NAS solution! Great job guys!!!
  • Too much bugs and resource intensive. Installing plugin is pain and it do not works, updates are problematic. I recommend nas4free instead, all works out of box.
  • FreeNAS is solid. I've used it for years. When the hardware finally dies, I build a net server and load the latest version.
  • Simple, functional and open! In other words, perfect! Just hope developers have time to support it for years! Thanks!
  • Stable as a rock with future-looking features.
  • FreeNAS is a great all-around NAS solution. Personally, I use my FreeNAS in many ways. I use it as a dedicated torrent box (since Transmission BT client is integrated into FreeNAS). I also use my FreeNAS as a media server on my home network. I can stream media to my XBox 360 and all of my other PCs (and Macs) on the network without any issues. I also use RAIDZ and love love love it!! FreeNAS FTW!
