  • nice!
  • Great Product and has grown since I first found this little gem.
  • I don't know much about computers but was able to get this up and running 3 months ago and it works like a dream...
  • Excellent!
  • Very easy and provides piece of mind knowing your data is stored reliably. Installed on a USB thumb drive. (buy a good quality USB drive). 0.7.1 Shere (revision 4944) Uptime 65 day(s) 3 hour(s) 53 minute(s) 40 second(s) with no issues. SMB for Windows share, FTP for remote access, UPnP DLNA for movie share, iSCSI for ESXi access. All good on one box.
  • What is going on Website freenas.org is offline / server timeout / for weeks?
  • It is free, it is fantastic, works better than the expensive LACIE storage we bought. The documentation is not incredible but I'd like to contribute to it if I find some spare time.
  • Excellent choice for NAS/SAN box, very easy to use.
  • Works great and is fast and stable. I used it in a Test environment for a PACS system. Nobody knew it was not a EMC CX series NAS.
  • It's good
  • Excelent but SMB slowly if you running in old pc
  • By far the best and most comprehensive NAS solution available to the open source (and possibly closed) community!
  • flawless
  • I don't know jack about networking, but when i finally decided to add a NAS to my home, FreeNAS was recommended, and even though I had some early trouble, I can tell this prog kicks butt. The support on the forums is top notch, too.
  • Yes we trust!!!
  • I have used FreeNAS for years! Just updated my hardware to a new dual core pentium on an intel board with GB ethernet. No problems at all. My favorite part is the platform independance of the config file and data disks. If the hardware fails just move over to another machine and go. I am a true believer in FreeNAS! Thanks to all who create it.
  • FreeNAS is great. We've got an Acer Aspire H340 Homeserver. It came with Windows 2003 server preinstalled and pseudoraid aka not raid at all. So I installed FreeNAS on the internal flash memory and formatted the 4 disks and made them into raid-5. Now the read/write speed has more than doubled! And as a bonus FreeNAS has great AFP support so we don't have to use CIFS in our network that only has Mac clients.
  • Excellent work ! I use it for my personal data server at home.
  • If you want to finally feel safe with your stored files, then freenas is what you need!!!
  • Extremely stable and fast way to provide NFS and AFP file sharing.
  • I use FreeNAS on my home NAS. It is best project.
  • Excellent system!
