Its fast, its fun...However, it does have some bugs (many fixed in newer binaries) and plenty of limitations. FD 1.1 will be a great improvement over 1.0.

It was good. But there are some problems in 1.4 version.Because a lot of the apps in the apps folder from version 1.3 are gone in version 1.4,so I think it's really necessary to add it back after version 1.5 comes out.And I hope this suggestion can be accepted.Thank You:)

I have kept FreeDOS on a partition for years. It is adequate to play most DOS games. I have numerous old tools that were written for DOS. It handles modern hardware much better than the original DOS. Have not been able to run any Win3.1 games on the shell. Needs information on what is working, and what is not, as I cannot tell if my problems are due to my setup, inexperience with it, or if the code is not completed. I need to compile something for DOS too, and have not figured that out.

It works!!

It is a fantastic little tool if a bit rough around the edges. But it brings back memories and those are good memories.

It is a worthy competitor to DOSBox. Competition is a good thing and I am always happy to be able to play Commander Keen!

It is a fantastic old school that brings back a flood of memories. But it is also a great tool to learn. It is clunky but it is beautiful.

Bring back memories, but in some situations it helped me to work on broken pc to restore OS :)

Excellent for Wolfenstein 3D, that's all said

You don't need an emulator. You don't need anything else! This is perfect. Oh sweet, sweet nostalgia.

FreeDOS is still a great and useful project for legacy system recovery work.

FreeDOS is easily the best DOS available. :)

I have been using this for quite some time now and contend this is the best DOS out there. A thin client for RDP and a X Server (as a thin client to X based X'nixes) will make this a killer OS for thin workstations.
