FileSearch

This is a brilliant simple-to-use file search. My only question is how to search for a file name that contains an exact phrase. If I put the phrase in quotes that doesn't work, and interprets it as a "reg expression", a concept that I have always struggled with. I tried to submit a ticket but was told I was forbidden. I hope some one that reads my review can help me.

Yep, Windows 10 path explorer search is the worst nightmare. Constant bugs, slow, you need a line code to search by date. And this software is the solution for that frustation. Thanks.

Windows search by filename is lame and it always has been. I want to wildcard search for files by name. I don't care about content or other meta-indexing that would make it "better". I just want something to recursively find a file named such-and-such, partial or full match, from whatever starting point I choose. This no-fuss, minimal-impact, easy to use app does exactly that, with regex plus a slew of other criteria to boot, all with lightning-fast elegant simplicity! My only wish is that it would remember visual tweaks to the results display, e.g. column widths, etc.

A delightful, useful tool that helps keep my archives together. Lists all the search files in one place. Contrary to other reviews, click on filename or path and it takes you right to it.

Interesting project. Impressive search speed. I hope you add tools to automate the operations on files found.
