User Reviews

  • A great JACK-aware application and lv2 plugin for assembling drum kits (or even multi-sampled instruments). It has a good balance of features/effects and workflow, including: - a fine GUI, with optional toggling of different effects (A and B), great for live use - tweakable parameters per sample (envelopes, panning, width, 1 LFO per sample, filters, reverse, etc.) - a good-sounding selection of global effects (phaser, delay, reverb, on/off compression, flanger), each with 4 - 5 continuous parameters. - easy to understand XML for presets (this makes it easy for me to write scripts that can autogenerate drumkv1 presets, things like randomizing panning settings, etc.) - quite stable when I use it with Carla and LMMS. A few minor disadvantages - LFO's are retriggered each hit: it would be nice to have the option for LFO's to persist, or for their phase to be randomized each hit - only 2 output channels (it would be nice to have the option to send one group of samples out one channel-pair, and another group of samples out a different channel-pair)
