Dory is one of the most promising AI-native SQL tools I’ve used recently. Unlike traditional database clients, it actually integrates AI into the workflow instead of just adding a chatbot on top. The SQL Copilot is particularly impressive — it not only helps generate queries, but also understands schema, explains results, and supports real data exploration. This has noticeably improved my day-to-day productivity. I also appreciate the product direction. Dory isn’t trying to be another bloated all-in-one database tool — it focuses on data exploration and AI collaboration, which feels much more aligned with how modern data work is evolving. There are still some features being developed (like cloud sync and collaboration), but the pace of iteration is fast and encouraging. If you’re looking for a more modern, AI-native SQL workspace, Dory is definitely worth trying.
