At this time of feb 2013, the old release 0.7.3.1 still shown in ubuntu's universe repository doesn't work at all in Precise Pangolin. A new 1.1.1.0.6 is available for install by adding the PPA... and this one just works... fine, even in gnome-panel :)) (only in gnome-panel the currently used wallpaper file name won't show in a balloon when flying the mouse over the notification icon; not a severe issue) BTW: first launch via Applications/Graphics menu and set autostart/autoswitch/schedule
