CodeIsland is an open-source macOS utility that displays real-time AI coding agent activity inside the MacBook notch. It supports more than 30 AI coding tools, providing a centralized view of active sessions, progress, and pending interactions. Users can approve tool requests, deny actions, and answer agent questions without switching applications. Session cards display current operations, recent responses, Git branches, and task completion indicators. Integrated shortcuts allow quick navigation to the corresponding terminal, IDE, or remote session. Notifications can be customized with quiet hours, sound effects, and intelligent suppression rules. Companion applications extend activity monitoring to iPhone, Apple Watch, and compatible external hardware. Remote SSH monitoring, messaging integrations, and webhook forwarding enable additional workflows.
