Clypra is a free, open-source video editor built with Tauri v2, React 19 and Rust. It runs on macOS, Windows and Linux, with iOS and Android versions planned via Capacitor. Clypra offers a multi-track timeline, frame-accurate trimming, audio waveforms with AV sync, text overlays, and export to H.264, H.265 and ProRes through FFmpeg. Native hardware-accelerated decoding (VideoToolbox, D3D11VA, VAAPI) keeps playback and scrubbing fast. No watermarks, no feature limits, no subscriptions: the core editor is MIT-licensed and free forever. Optional Pro features add AI tools such as natural language editing, auto-captions and smart reframing.
