CaskHub

CaskHub is a native macOS application that presents Homebrew casks through an app-store-style interface. Users can browse curated shelves, categories, popularity charts, recently added software, and searchable app listings. It installs, updates, and removes applications through the user’s real Homebrew binary, preserving command-line compatibility. The app detects existing Caskroom installations and can adopt eligible programs that were originally installed outside Homebrew. Smart update logic filters self-updating apps and normalizes packaging-related version differences. Its SwiftUI interface supports grid and list layouts, sorting, themes, original icons, metadata, live progress, and cancellable downloads. Browsing works without Homebrew, while management actions require it and use native password prompts when administrator access is needed.
