BioseqDB is a PostgreSQL extension for storing, indexing and searching biological sequences with SQL. Combine genomic matches with relational data using compact sequence types and columnar storage.

Choose bounded ntHash or other minimizers, SIMD-DP or RMQ chaining, and Block Aligner or KSW2 alignment. Minimizer indexes cover fragments or whole sequences. Packaged defaults enable vectorization and column caching; the automatically loaded query cache is disabled until explicitly enabled.

Experimental, unsigned alpha packages are provided for ARM64 and x86-64 Linux (various distros) and MacOS. Choose the matching distribution and PostgreSQL major.
