ANSImuz is a lightweight terminal music player built with Rust and Ratatui, bringing a retro 8-bit ANSI aesthetic to your music experience! Search for and play tracks from YouTube Music and Spotify from a responsive terminal interface. Manage your listening with an upcoming queue: add songs, remove tracks, or reorder what plays next. Browse session history to revisit previously played music, and enjoy album artwork rendered directly in the terminal with dynamic color themes inspired by each cover. ANSImuz includes shuffle and repeat modes, keyboard-driven playback controls, and a quick command palette for fast navigation. Its adaptive layout fits different terminal sizes, keeping the experience clean and usable. The application uses mpv for playback and relies on tools such as yt-dlp and Python-based music integrations. ANSImuz is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to YouTube or Spotify. It is intended for educational purposes only.
