SimpMusic is a free and open-source music streaming application that uses YouTube Music as its primary backend and is available for Android and desktop platforms. Built with Compose Multiplatform, it provides access to music from YouTube Music and YouTube with background playback and an ad-free listening experience. The app combines music discovery, search, playlists, podcasts, charts, moods, genres, video playback, and personalized listening features in a unified interface. SimpMusic also offers advanced playback tools including a 10-band equalizer, AutoEQ headphone profiles, crossfade, audio effects, synchronized lyrics, and high-quality streams of up to 256 kbps for YouTube Music Premium users. Users can cache content for offline playback, import playlists from Spotify and other services, synchronize playlists with YouTube Music, and access features such as Android Auto and Last.fm scrobbling.
