Ok patterns are emerging....first I'd like to declare that I have very limited experience with working with yoshimi/zyn. The bug or problem surfaces when I randomly select different instrument banks from the default set. In an attempt to listen to what's available. I'm finding that if I select one instrument and get down to playing with that instrument, yoshimi so far is stable and working for me :-) It appears that when I go into instrument banks selection and click here and there, just playing around with the different instruments sounds available. Yoshimi will disconnect or be disconnected from jack and in turn becomes unstable and I have to restart it. I've also enabled 'auto close' of instrument bank selection to help in distracting me from clicking randomly.... So maybe the place to look would be instrument bank selection....
