Hmmm... how are you configured to talk to Direwolf? Note that there are two different paths to connect YAAC to Direwolf, but you can't cross the connections.
The AGWPE port type in YAAC supports the proprietary protocol defined by the AGWPE software TNC. Direwolf supports this protocol, and it usually appears on port 8000.
The KISS-over-TCP port type supports KISS over a network socket. Direwolf supports this on port 8001.
Do not cross-connect these.
Now, there is a known work-around feature (implemented for the Serial_TNC port type) to prevent sending certain character sequences to a Kenwood TM-D710 radio and accidentally changing the radio settings because it looks like a command from Kenwood's radio programming software. Unfortunately, Direwolf may not support this work-around (which also appears in the KISS-over-TCP port), so it is strongly recommended to use the AGWPE port type to talk to Direwolf.
If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
I get the following error message when I transmit using Direwolf 1.5:
KISS protocol error. Found 0x43 after FESC. Not sure if I can ignore or not.
