Was playing around this week with something I had been thinking about for a while now -- how to send a tweet using my HT. I have successfully sent to emails using an APRS to email gateway, so I figured there must be a way to send to Twitter.
What I decided on was to use an email to Twitter gateway, twittermail.com . After getting everything set up and testing using WinLink on HF, I grabbed my HT and sent an APRS message from the HT through an IGate, which sent it to the EMAIL-2 gateway, and it in turn sent it to the twittermail.com email address, which then sent it to Twitter and viola! My tweet appeared! Kind of kludged together, what some would euphemistically call "fusion", but it worked!
So, I was wondering if anyone else had done something similar? Has anyone looked into the possibility of an actual APRS to Twitter gateway?
