How do you install the patch in Ubuntu or Lubuntu? Great patch, a signature (image file) option is all that is missing in this fantastic lightweight app.
I just cannot figure out how to install it in Lubuntu or Ubuntu.
Does anyone know when an update of xournal is expected?
Thanks.

Hey Pierre. I myself am a Linux noob, but I found this website to be really helpful in describing how to use the patch program.

I followed the instructions and was able to install the image patch with no problem! Hope this helps!

Thanks for trying to help. I have all the following files and no idea what to do with them. Which of these should I use? Do I put the patch in same folder as xournal and open a terminal (F4) use the command on the website you gave me? Do I unzip them first?
I installed it from Ubuntu repositories (I use Lubuntu): there is no folder for xournal:
Which files to use?:
xournal_0.4.5-2ubuntu1_i386.deb
xournal-0.4.5.tar.gz
xournal-0.4.5_imagepatch_rev1.patch
xournal-0.4.5-sjg-image-rev7.patch.gz
xournal-0.4.5-win32.zip
Thanks.
tar xvzf xournal-0.4.5.tar.gz
gunzip xournal-0.4.5-sjg-image-rev7.patch.gz
cd xournal-0.4.5
patch -p1 < ../xournal-0.4.5-sjg-image-rev7.patch
configure
make
(as root) make install
