It would be wonderful, when annotating long pdfs, to have the bookmarks that were already in the pdf available as well as the ability to create new bookmarks. It often happens that I need switch back and forth between pages to look at figures or equations or references and remembering page numbers is... from the days when I still used paper.
It would work as follows :
-bookmarks would refer to a certain page or even better, to a certain page & position or to a certain highlighted/underlined portion on a page
-you could select bookmarks via a window panel or a drop-down menu showing a list of bookmarks arranged in a hierarchy (tree view)
-a button to create a new bookmark and name it
-the ability to delete bookmarks, modify their names and their position in the hierarchy
Xournal is the best thing out there. Simple, not fussy, not to many options and menus, but this is one of those things that is really missing. I have seen a couple other feature requests for this. I even saw a post from way back that said it would be included in a release, but it never has been.
Yeah, that would be something extremely useful in some case.
