The error is no longer valid. It has disappeared. Now it does the validation but encounters an Errorat line 51, column 35: type 'http://www.isotc211.org/2005/gmd:EX_Extent' not found.

I don't have huge amounts of time but this is the only good validating free open source XML editor in existence. I know XML, DTD, XPath, XSL, and C++ (enough to find and fix something, I left C behind for other languages around the time C++ came out). This project needs better documentation and online representation if it's going to continue and get the recognition it deserves. I'm currently writing an XML to STL writer in Python using this as my XML editor. I'd like to integrate the two programs...

The file names are case insensitive on Windows OS. You can verify that by renaming two files to two names that only differs in upper/lower cases. The Windows OS will refuse to do that and report an error.

I'm trying xml copy editor for the first time. It's very hard to read. Letters are to thin and weak. I tried making bigger size, changing the background, etc. Also can't select text by click and drag of mouse. In fact can't select text at all. Seems wonky.

When using the toggle comment shortcut (ctrl+/) it works great when there isn't a comment at the end of the node already. Using the shortcut, it comments out the node properly. But when using the shortcut to uncomment the same node, if there was already a comment at the end of the node, it removes the endmost --> instead of the comment at the end of the node before the original comment. So sorry about the long delay. I'm unsure why the library is not found - it does ship with the DMG and so ends up in folder /Applications/xmlcopyeditor. To fix the problem, I copied the library files in /Applications/xmlcopyeditor.app/Contents/Frameworks to /usr/local/lib. That's very far from a satisfactory solution of course.

Hi,... any can help me to install the XML Copy Editor in macOS Catalina (10.15.7). Once i copied the app in to the apps folder the system can open the software. Just been testing this more carefully and my previous comment stands: pressing space immediately after the closing quote of an existing attribute value brings up the little drop-down of attribute names, but selecting one just inserts the name in the start-tag. Typing "=" supplies the equals and empty quotes, but if the attributes uses a token list (enumerated values) they are not listed. This seems a pity, as it means that xmlcopyeditor is not usable for creating XML documents.

Hello and thanks for the great XML editor! I just tried to validate three XML files. Two validate without error, but for the third I get the message FatalError at line 0, column 0: internal error in NetAccessor. Any idea what the problem might be?
