Hello, When I watch a dvd with xine using the xshm video driver there is no subtitles at all. This is OK using other drivers such as xv or vidix. Did I miss something in the configuration ? My box runs a debian/sarge with libxine1_1-rc6a-1 and xine-ui_0.99.1-1. Thanks in advance. _gilles. |

Try disabling the unscaled overlay in the config. Michael -- panic("bad_user_access_length executed (not cool, dude)"); 2.0.38 /usr/src/linux/kernel/panic.c |

Michael, DVD subtitles should never use unscaled overlays. I'm worried there might be something broken at the blending code, but unfortunately i have no DVD at work to test with xshm. may you give it a try? Miguel |

Yeah, sure. I overread the "dvd" part. My fault. > I'm worried there might be something broken at the blending code, but > unfortunately i have no DVD at work to test with xshm. may you give it > a try? I can confirm this. No subtitles with XShm, but what's even more strange: the menu highlights show up normally. It could be the new blending code by Reinhard Nissl. Michael -- printk(KERN_WARNING "Multi-volume CD somehow got mounted.\n"); 2.2.16 /usr/src/linux/fs/isofs/inode.c |

I can reproduce this behaviour here too and will have a look at it tomorrow evening. I'm sorry for breaking things :-( Bye. -- Dipl.-Inform. (FH) Reinhard Nissl mailto:rn...@gm... |
