If so, we should find out the difference between these and what xine is playing. I would guess it is either: * the number of channels (stereo vs. 5.1) Does your card support more than stereo? If so, try to disable surround in xine (config entries and let the audio be downmixed. * the sample rate (44.1kHz vs. 48kHz) Try downsampling in xine by setting audio.force_rate to 44100.
