I found the explanation on why writing doesn't work no matter what the 
permissions are:

/Group Directories are Read-Only:/ The project web servers mount project 
group directories read-only.

I didn't know sf.net was doing this. There is no quick fix for this but 
I will try to find a solution this week and get back on you.
