hi khaled - xetex on i386-linux, both the 2014 release and current TL development binaries, crashes running on russianb.dtx from ctan. just "xelatex russianb.dtx".

fwiw, gdb shows the crash is at t1driver.c:149
*afont_extra = ((T1_Face)face)->type1.font_extra;

did not delve further. attaching the dtx. tx.

That looks like a crash inside FreeType. I’ll to find out what is wrong.

Hmm, I don’t get the crash neither with 2014 nor woth development binaries.

No, on 64-bit one (tested both 32 and 64-bit binaries). I don't think I have any 32-bit installations around here anymore.

that is why i offered to set up an account for you on tug (32-bit). the bug exists, by definition ... and 32/64 bit bugs, in general, are not uncommon. are you willing to pursue? tx.
