components required are:
1. ffmpeg ( to merge and convert videos )
2. youtube dl ( to provide option to download video without browser extension )
previously XDM windows was written in c# and linux version was in java and it was difficult for me to maintain 2 codebase. so i merged both and now its only java based . the java runtime size is almost 15 mb in the installer

I think normal size bars and tabs would be better
for ex-
main interface- top black bar is big
main interface- downloads area, downloads/files column is big
download window- download, cancel, etc tabs are big
settings/options- top black bar is big
etc...

About improving the batch download feature, I would like to know how to batch download images that doesn't fall in a particular sequential numbering format?
For instance EagleGet let's me right click on a webpage and choose to Download all links with EagleGet that opens up a batch download feature to filter what type of files you want to batch download. Can this be implemented in XDM?
If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
Current implementation of XDM is like that, listed videos does not depend on the tabs, it provides the benefit of downloading the videos after tabs are closed.
If it becomes cluttered you can just close the download video panel.

did you tried to update the components after you installed version 7.1.2?
which operating system you are using?
please follow steps mentioned here:
https://sourceforge.net/p/xdman/blog/2018/02/install-components-manually/
if you want portable version then you should download the portable zip:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/xdman/files/portable/XDM-Win-Portable.zip/download
i am planning to have theme support in future
Ubuntu 32 bit or 64?
If 32bit then if you goto XDM Menu->Help->Update components
and update the component, then it should resolve the issue.

I am not sure what is meant by: "How do you clear the download list on the browser?"
Hi Subhra,
About improving the batch download feature, I would like to know how to batch download images that doesn't fall in a particular sequential numbering format?
For instance EagleGet let's me right click on a webpage and choose to Download all links with EagleGet that opens up a batch download feature to filter what type of files you want to batch download. Can this be implemented in XDM?
Sure, it could be usefull. It can be implemented in future, may be in couple of months
That's great news. Thanks!
Not sure what is the question here
Current implementation of XDM is like that, listed videos does not depend on the tabs, it provides the benefit of downloading the videos after tabs are closed.
If it becomes cluttered you can just close the download video panel.
