Title says it all. When cmd is being wrapped, the quake console version is repeated on every visible line. When mintty is wrapped (Cygwin shell), it shows the version only once but still will not allow input.
Sorry, but at this moment I dont have enough memory to run Windows 8 on my home PC/notebook. Probably i'll try to debug it on virtualisation host at my workplace.

Well let me know if I can be of any help. I have Windows 8, and can test on it. You could contact me on Steam, Skype, Yahoo Messenger, Google Talk, or some other service for a more live conversation.
Is there a PM service on sf.net? If so, send me a pm if you want. I won't be hurt if you don't though. :)
I'm currently using Console2 with an Autohotkey script I wrote to make it a lot like the guake terminal for gnome on linux. It actually was pretty simple since Console2 Already supports features to do much of what's needed.

It's C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\powershell.exe on my system. Yes, that works, but when first run it just shows the version once and does not show the prompt until after you have pressed enter once. See http://i.imgur.com/ZdOwObO.png

Yes, this is happening to me too on Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit.

I also noticed the process is constantly using about 2.5% of my CPU.
I am a new user to this console, previously using Console2. But I much prefer something like this. I do hope this can be resolved soon. :)
Version 1.4.1.0

Accepted for review on Windows 7, some bugs fixed today, need's to be reviewed on Windows 8 x86-64 platform.
I can test for Windows 8 64-bit. I'll check back later to see if there are any new commits.

Thanks. Tested. Same result unfortunately. http://i.imgur.com/8Asbm01.png
Accepted to testing myself on Windows 8 virtual PC next week.
How did the testing on Windows 8 go for you? Could you confirm it?

Same issue. I've tried running as administrator and in various compatibility modes.
Ok' I can test this problem and it reproduced on Virtual PC. As a workaround before fix you can use C:\Windows\WindowsPowerShell\1.0\powershell.exe
