I'm Ok on this side of the screen.

Now serious stuff.

You'll find attched my latest translation
for the resource file MergeFrench.rc

The one i took (revision 3900) was from:
http://winmerge.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/winmerge/branches/R2_6/Src/Languages/French/MergeFrench.rc?view=log

EOL should have been kept in UNIX format.

I have VC++ 2005 Express (doesn't allow MFC though)
If you can tell me how to produce
a file with extension .lang
I'll appreciate.

Otherwise can you produce it for me.
I'll test and use it thereafter.

Sorry for the delay.. I'll commit this later today.

Unfortunately you cannot compile .lang files with Visual Studio Express - unless you have MFC header and libraries from full Visual Studio. I'll upload new lang file after I've committed this update.

Results for check up of branch R2_6

1) Made a little change to reflect the toggle nature of a bookmark menu (version 4134 corrected in zip file)
2) Found 2 dialogs with french in .rc file but still display in english (see pictures)
3) Not enough room for a button in adjust columns dialog (see picture)
4) Not enough room between two controls in Options > Editor dialog (see picture)

Branch R2_6 OK on my side for production after corrections

Hmm. The MergeFrench.rc file you added 27-02 seems to be identical to what I merged to 2.7.2 beta release?

Indeed, there was a bug in two color-dialogs definitions. Fixed them, now they should translate correctly. Also fixed the button size and the frame size in other dialogs. Thanks a lot for screenshots!

Results for check up of branch R2_7_2

All new added features look fine to me.
Dialogs that didn't translate are now translated fine.

Only portions with "Not enough room" still remain. Screen shots are "more of the same".
I expect that these corrections were made through Merge.rc in english version and propagation to all translated languages is still to come.

Oh, I just missed couple of changes. Fixed into SVN:
Completed: At revision: 4150

I cannot add 2.7.2 -compatible lang file since there are already changes in resources. But will be fixed in next 2.7.x release.
