I just recently attached a 2nd monitor to my system,
and had the following issues when I was trying to put
the differences pane on the second monitor.
It (the diff pane) doesn't stay undocked when I
control-click the drag bar.
If I double click the drag bar, it does.
When undocked, the individual compare windows don't
track the size of the pane, although they do while the
pane is docked. It also remembers the undocked window
size, when docking or undocking, but uses the split
sizes from the docked pane.
Also, in both modes, there is no vertical scroll bar
for the diff panes, though I can scroll the panes with
the mouse wheel. (I don't know if this is a bug)
I am currently running Winmerge Version 2.3.1.2
Rufus
If you think the configuration log is germane to this
issue, let me know.

I just noticed. If I undock the difference pane while the
scroll wheel is "attached" to the side-by-side compare, I
can't get it to associate with the diff pane. However, if
it is associated with the diff pane when undocked, it
remains associated with it. But if I click back to the side
by side, it stays there and I can't click on the diff
pane/window.

I think this is purely two monitor issue. I've just fixed
couple of other multi-monitor issues (dialogs opening
off-screen).
