The "Next file" button doesn't work - it doesn't do anything.
But the other file navigation buttons ("First File", "Previous File" and "Last File") do work - they ask you for confirmation and then do the action.

Are you saying that the "Next file" button is enabled but doesn't have any effect when pressed? Or is the button disabled and unclickable? Please note that this button only works when you open the file comparison window from the folder comparison window.

WinMerge outputs the configuration information (stored in the registry) to the WinMerge.txt file. Since the configuration includes recently used files and folders, that information is also output. It might be a good idea to modify it to mask those paths.
