When comparing directories, an errpr popup appears with title 'The xml has an error'
The only thing the user can do is press OK.
This makes no sense at all and it severely impacts the user's workflow (how fun is it to press OK hundreds of times when comparing two directories?). WinMerge should not alter files, and must expect that some files are ill-formed according to WinMerge rules. The user cannot do anything about this. Do not bother him with it.
Remove this popup.
Suggestion: if you need to do error reporting, do it on a per file basis, and display it in the list of compare results.
