Category: None Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Sander Pool (sander_pool) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: a history document that shows deprications would be nice Initial Comment: Hello again, I'm working on a port of old avrgcc code. I remember from a while ago when I was more actively involved that macros and features tended to change. Always for good reasons I'm sure but it makes it a pain to maintain code not to mention porting old code to new conventions. As an example the code uses PRG_RDB of which I don't even know what it means. The entire winavr 20050214 tree does not contain that string. I tried a Google search but haven't found out yet what it's for. Will have to try again. So. It would be *great* if the doc tree contained a file with all deprications and suggested workarounds introduced in each release. Not unlike release notes but focused specifically on language items removed and added. As a side note the included docs are nice but difficult to search. The only option is to use Windows explorer 'find in files'. Thanks for your consideration.
