#23 new events added on wrong date

When attempting to add events for Wed 9 July 2003, the
events would end up scheduled on Sun 6 July 2003. This
happened in IE 6 as well as Mozilla.

Have the same problem on a WAMP environment. Since there
is also a problem sending emails when creating a new event
that might correlate.
But fact is: Every new event gets the current date.
Any suggestions?
