Hi, I've added a comment on the login page and the 'ajax-enable-link' we discussed earlier this week. Should I integrate the login page in wicket or is it preferred to leave it as is and leave the option to have basic authentication? Ivo |

Well, let me think: - There is the busy indicator in the screen and on the mouse - The styling is done for the settings panel - The calendar panel has got some cosmetic changes (gray/back for inactive/active and the icons as you pointed out). Maybe, I'll show them what we have made and I hope they think it's as cool as I do :) My opinion is that the way we integrated the behaviors is nice and clear and it seems to work well with the other components. Well, not really. The integration we did includes a standard callback method providing an AjaxRequestTarget. This way you can react in a standard wicket way to component events and update the page contents accordingly. I'm in progress of refactoring the yui uintegration we did and I'll try to get it into the wicket-contrib-yui project. The only problem here is that we probably need to get it intergated into the wicket-2.0 branch as the active development is done there. That means we probabley need to refactor a lot in the webical components. The joda time classes he mentions seem promissing, but Jochem already spent a great deal of effort to handle the timezones consitentlty. I don't feel its necessarry to focus on that part at the moment. Regards, Ivo On 2/7/07, Zoran Kovacevic <z.k...@fu...> wrote: > > Has anyone of you seen this? Subject: [Wicket-user] Modal Window Bug (important)
To: wic...@li...
Hi,
It seems that quite a lot of people are using ModalWindow lately. I just
want to inform you that there is a bug in modal window that can cause it
to eat all your browser's cookies. The bug is fixed in svn, but not in
the last release (1.2.4).
Fortunately, preventing this bug is fairly easy. All you have to do is
call setCookieName on your modal window.
So either
setCookieName(null) - if you don't want it to remember size in cookies
or
setCookieName("myModalWindowName") - if you want it to remember the size

I don't know if it can help, but for us, we added this code in our base page
to make the cursor change when there is an ajax call in progress :
<script language="Javascript" type="text/javascript">
Wicket.Ajax.registerPreCallHandler(function() {
document.getElementById("main").style.cursor='progress'; });
Wicket.Ajax.registerPostCallHandler(function() {
document.getElementById ("main").style.cursor='auto'; });
Wicket.Ajax.registerFailureHandler(function() {
document.getElementById("main").style.cursor='auto'; });
</script>

I'd go for a XHTML strict + CSS template, one column and a bit (a bit) web 2.0 looks to it. And of course a free license, so it can easily be adjusted. My order: - http://www.oswd.org/design/preview/id/3150 - http://www.oswd.org/design/preview/id/3538 - http://www.oswd.org/design/preview/id/3443 - http://www.oswd.org/design/preview/id/2610 Any other favorites? How about using blog software as a CMS? With links to the wiki ('documentation', 'developers') and the demo and - obviously - a feed for news. -- Zoran Kovacevic Func.
