Hi, Does anyone see any problems with upgrading yui from 0.11.3 to the newest ( 0.12.2)? The new version has resolved some cross-browser compatibility issues and a lot more functionality (on the context-menus for example). Regards, Ivo |

Hi, Zoran reported a bug<http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1636227&group_id=176849&atid=878886>concerning lockups due to http timeouts in the synchronization process. He suggested to use a different thread for each synchronization. This might be a good solution, but it does make it difficult to handle synchronization issues. At the moment everything is handled synchronously and exceptions can be caught in the screen were they are caused. If we use different threads this won't be possible. I thought it might be an idea to store exceptions originating from the EventDao's in a central place per user. every call to the EventManager then first checks this storage and throws any exception in the stack one at a time. This way you can go about your business until an error occurred. The exception should be redirected to a panel that can handle the exception. Any other (hopefully better) ideas? Ivo |

Hi, Well it will be rather tight. The final presentation is on the 26th. Before that Jochem and Paul have a couple of exams and I have my hands full aswell. The bugfixing should pick up during this week and the AjaxifyCalendarStory is going along quit well I believe. There is still about 100 hours to go, but I think the planning is not up to date. I think we have two milestones to come this month; one as soon as icalx is back online and testing can continue. This will include the bugfixes and some preliminary ajax stuff. Hi all, Icalx is down too many times for the demo to run continuously. In order to remove the dependency I've added a DAV servlet config. I've made the following changes to web.xml: http://webical.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/webical/trunk/src/main/webapp/WEB-INF/web.xml?revision=368&view=markup Added a DAV configuration that allows anybody to read/write to /dav/webicaldemo.ics :) Only works for Tomcat I guess, but since the demo runs on Tomcat, that should not be a problem. Commented out per default. I suggest we comment it in for the demo (that's what I just did for the running demo). And I've added documentation on how to configure the container. I hope this takes care of the (failing) Icalx dependency! Best regards, Zoran -- Zoran Kovacevic Func. Internet Integration W http://www.func.nl M +31 6 48104284 T +31 20 4230000 F +31 20 4223500 |

Hi, I'm trying to set some additional properties on the calendar widget with no success up to now. I'm getting the following error: Error: monthyear.split is not a function Source File: file:///home/ivo/workspace/yui-calendar-widget-poc/lib/calendar/calendar.js Line: 536 Which just isn't true. I tried it out and String.split() is supported in firefox. Before patching the YUI source myself I wanted to check out if there are new releases, but I can't seem to find which release we are using at the moment. If there is a new release, how do I update it in the source tree? The js files seem to be mixed with our files. Regards, Ivo |

Hi, I reassigned bug 1634043<http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1634043&group_id=176849&atid=878886>to you. The bug has something to do with writing back the calendar events after the calendar is changed. You seem to do this to write back the changed timezone? Anyway, I thought you might know exactly where to look, if not just let me know and I'll pick it up again. Regards, Ivo |

Hi, I've refactored the YUICalendar component so that it shows correctly each time. The problem was that we used the onload event to initialize the widget. The trick is to use a label to printout the relevant javascript initialization code rigth after the widget container div. This way the div is present in the DOM before the script gets executed. Another problem was the css includes. Sometimes the css was not wriiten out in the head. After some struggling I found out that its best to include the css references in the onRenderHeadContribution() of the AjaxHandler intstead of the onRenderHeadInitContribution() and include it in the constructor of the matching component (eg YUICalendar) aswell. The second is needed to write out the right reference when the page is completely refreshed. The same can be used for the other YUI components. Regards, Ivo |

Hi, I've integrated the AjaxRequestTarget in the YUIAjaxHandler and most of the subclasses. In the Dayview I've completed the YUICalendar so it updates the DayView and the DateSwitcher. The rest of the views I left alone. When you try to update a component and it doesn't seem to change, first take a look at the wicket-debug. If the html for the component is returned in the ajax-response you probably aren't using the components correctly. For some components its necessary to override onAttach() (don't forget the call to super.onAttach()) to update the changed subcomponents. See the DateSwitcher. Regards, Ivo |

Hi, With help of Martin I've set up two profiles in maven. This way the default configuration gives us enough debug output in maven and we can easily build a war for the demo and releases. The profile directories are located under etc/development and etc/production. development is empty and just uses all the files from the main source. In production the web.xml and log4j.properties are overridden. Keep this in mind when you make a change to one of those files. To build a production war just call mvn -Denv=prd package. Regards, Ivo |
