    Hello,

I have used WebChess the 0.8.4 version and now I found this new version. Great, thanks!

For my installation I wanted to make small changes:
    - I want everyone to be able to see any game if he/she wants to (not just own games).
    - I have the Ubisoft Chessmaster and I really like the blue appearance.

I figured out that the easiest way to share the modifications with you, is to set up a github-repository.

    So, here are my changes:
    https://github.com/Thorium/webchess/commit/b831f1c045511f18c0559de824ffc519a281a370

You may also download the whole package, https://github.com/Thorium/webchess/ but now I don't have plan to update this when WebChess updates. Maybe if you would change to a distributed version control. ;-)

    Hi Thoriumi,

I'm glad you use and like Webchess.
And it's nice to know someone's out there proposing and modifying.

I noticed you cloned webchess out from the 1.0.0rc2 release; but you should know that there are a few interesting changes in our repository.
We're using Bazaar for DVCS but if you already know git, you shouldn't find it hard to learn (actually it should be easier than git).

Anyway, information on Webchess repo can be found here:
    https://sourceforge.net/scm/?type=bzr&group_id=55449&source=navbar

Or you can browse the code here:
    http://webchess.bzr.sourceforge.net/bzr/webchess/changes

Anyway, as soon as I have time on my hands, I have a ton of patches to include into the main repo. I can't say when, but you might find some of your changes included in the main repo one of these days. :)

    Cheers,
    Roflo

    Hi Roflo,

I added some more modifications to my branch…

Thanks for those links, I will check those out. The good thing is that KDiff3 and other advanced merge tools will figure out modifications quite easily.
