    My hosting service is requiring moving from PHP 7.4 to 8.1 - my current v1.3.0 went blank screen.. Had to have service go back to 7.4. I downloaded WC to my local box running PHP 8.1. Only get anywhere if I find and comment out every line of code with "magic" in it. Did get up to "Check out your DB" - just quits. Suggestions? Thanks

    Oh, is it no longer maintained? I was not aware. Seems like the issue in this thread has already been solved by the maintainer, though. The only issue I still have is following PHP error when I want to edit existing event: "Deprecated: The each() function is deprecated. This message will be suppressed on further calls in"... I run 1.3.0 with PHP 7.2.10.

    I found the mistake myself. The problem was in the /public_html/calendar/includes/edit_entry.php file I changed line 177 from for ( $i = 0; $i < count ( $groups ) ; $i++ ) { to for ( $i = 0; $i < count ( (array) $groups ) ; $i++ ) { And now it works.     My Wecalendar stopped working a few days ago when a Warning was displayed at the top of the screen. I fixed the warning in the PHP file but my Webcalendar still doesn't work. The problem is that nothing happend when pressing the save button when either creating an entry or editing an entry. I can press it 20 times without anuthing happening.     Effective December my provider will stop support for PHP versions up to 7.1, so I changed to 7.2.     Hi, I'm running 1.3.0 from the GIT repo and my reminder emails stopped working. The emails aren't sent even if I manually run the scheduled cronjob command for the reminder. I've tried enabling error reporting in the command but there are no errors produced. Oddly enough, email alerts when a new scheduled appointment is creating are working fine though. In the header is the html to set the characterencoding to iso-8859-1 In the browser (firefox) it is set to utf8 (unicode), this should be set to iso-8859-1 but it does not.     Hi, I have almost all working for just one thing. Names with Umlauts show on screen a questionmark in a black box. The database is utf8_general_ci but the tables are latin1_german2_ci exactly like in 1.27. I have to do a new export from 1.27 and import in 1.3 anyway.     As my colleague @jawtheshark found out, SMTPDebug was set to 2 instead of 0 in WebCalMailer.class In the file includes/classes/WebCalMailer.class in line 43 I've changed $this->STMPDebug = 2; to $this->STMPDebug = 0; Solved. Marc

    Hi everybody, I've setup a new installation of webcalendar 1.30. Had some difficulties setting up the mail functionality, but it's sending mails, now. The problem is, that when invoking edit_entry_handler (clicking on save event), the script will output the complete communication/handshake between webcalendar and the SMTP server.     I had the same problem with German umlauts after upgrading from webcalendar 1.2.3 to 1.2.9. I first tried with io!'s solution but then after saving an entry and editing it again all the html showed in the description so I reverted this. I added to config.php (at the end): ini_set('default_charset', 'iso-8859-1'); this did the trick for me.

    Hello I hope someone can help me. I have some repeating events in my calendar. e.g. each wednesday at 4 pm. It was created during winter time. Now we have summer time and in the webcalendar itself it is still displayed at 4pm which is fine. bug I also subscribed as URL to this calendar in my google calendar and there the same event is displayed at 5 pm after the time has forwarded for 1h. So I guess there is a bug in the ics export function. Is there any way to fix this?????

    Hi Robert I recently upgraded an existing install of Webcalendar and I had the exact same issue. Sorry for the late reply, but hopefully this helps if you are still stuck or want to revisit the issue. I'm not sure what happened so I believe there is a bug in the upgrade or install but using the steps outlined below I was able to finally reset the admin password and then I could login. I first had to delete the exisisting admin account that I couldn't login with, then I recreated it with a password...

    I have resolved the issue. Rather than using a LAN IP address, or the loopback (127.0.0.1) for the mail server in Webcalendar's system settings, I entered the FQDN (fully qualified domain name) that is in the TLS certificate used on my mail server (the SAN / subject altnernative name) and now it works fine. I swear I used to use 127.0.0.1 and/or 192.168.2 before, both without having any issues, so I'm not quite sure what changed to cause my problem but it's probably best practice to use the matching...

Add the following line after the "mode: prod" line and before the "# end settings.php */ " line in the file .\includes\settings.php disable_referer_check: true This allows the modified v1.3 function "require_valid_referring_url ()" to skip the referrer check (currently line 6387 in includes\functions.php)

    It sounds like you're trying to use PHP7. MySQL has been removed from PHP7. It only uses either MySQLi or MariaDB. We're working on converting things over. However, it's going to take awhile as we're all volunteers with other things to do. Until we get it working, try going back to PHP5 on WAMP.     I use also PHP 7.0.18 with 1.2.7c files (found somewhere in this forum) You have to change all the calls to mysql for mysqli in the sources files, commnent all calls to magicquote. Install don't work for me, but, after creating database with the sql files, my calendar works fine.
