I have about 40 machines running webmin. On one of them, which I'll call webmin1, all the others are registered under the Webmin Servers Index and configured to log in automatically with a username and password. Generally this works great and is very convenient. Recently I noticed a weird anomaly. If I am logged into webmin1 and click one of the others, say webmin2, I am logged in as expected. If I then navigate to Tools->System and Server Status, I see the monitors configured on webmin2. But if I then click the module config button on webmin2, I am taken the module config for webmin1. If I then click Return to Service List, I am taken to the monitors on webmin1. If I then click System Server and Status in the navigation panel, I am taken back to the monitors on webmin2. So there doesn't seem to be a way to configure the module options on webmin2: I just can't get to that page, at least not this way. I can log in directly to webmin2 and configure the module that way. But this seems like a bug so I thought I would report it. The machine I'm calling webmin1 here is FreeBSD 12.2 with webmin 1.973. That seems to be most recent version in the FreeBSD pkg repositories and I usually prefer to install and update webmin on FreeBSD that way. The machine I'm calling webmin2 is CentOS 8.4 with webmin 1.980. I wonder if anyone here has seen this behavior or whether anyone can reproduce it. Thanks for any insights or enlightenment. |
