Ok, thanks, a related question: I want to use one magento installation in /home/domainA/public_html for a completely different domain in /home/domainB/public_html this is a standard procedure in magento, you usually just symlink some directories from domainA/public_html to domainB/public_html and set the mentioned environment variables to tell magento, what it should do with the HTTP requests. as I see it, in virtualmin I cannot access files as user domainB which are located in domainA, even if they are symlinked to my directory, right? what would be the "correct" way to solve this dilemma?
