Hi Jamie, I am now a bit confused. When logging into Webmin, I've been using using what's under the "Server" menu so its, Servers - > LDAP Server - > Browse Database and I see two tabs; Child objects and Object attributes. However there is another option off the root menu; System - > LDAP Client System - > LDAP Users and Groups None of which are set and are default in nature. So how does one admin a remote LDAP server, through Servers or through System menus? - Brian On Feb 11, 2009, at 10:14 PM, Jamie Cameron wrote: > That looks OK to me .. > > Does it help if you set the 'Base for users' on the Module Config > page? > > - Jamie > > On 11/Feb/2009 15:52 Brian Krusic wrote .. >> Hi John, >> >> Here are examples of my configs; >> >> dn: cn=John Doe,ou=People,dc=company,dc=com >> >> I can ldapadd all day long but I just can't do it via Webmin. >> >> My slapd.conf file has; >> >> dc=company,dc=com >> >> Any ideas? >> >> - Brian >> >> >> >> >> On Feb 11, 2009, at 3:01 PM, Jamie Cameron wrote: >> >>> On 10/Feb/2009 17:00 Brian Krusic wrote .. >>>> Hi all, >>>> >>>> I have a fresh Webmin v1.450 install on my Centos 5.2 box and an >>>> existing OpenLDAP server. >>>> >>>> While I can browse the database and see all my users, groups, etc, >>>> when I try to add a user from scratch or by simply cloning an >>>> object >>>> and modifying attribute values, I get; >>>> >>>> Missing or invalid value for DN >>>> >>>> I know my database is in order and pretty standard. >>>> >>>> Does this require a Webmin+LDAP module re config for my setup? >>>> >>>> I would rather use Webmin although phpldapadmin works but my user >>>> requires admining other services on this box like DNS so having 1 >>>> GUI >>>> tool is preferred. >>> >>> Hi Brian, >>> >>> What are you entering as the username for the new user you are >>> trying >>> to create?
