I am trying to use the above module to monitor several servers on a FreeBSD= =20 4.10 Jail server. I have the options all set up which I want on this main= =20 server and the "leaf" servers are added to webmin. The webpage shows when a= =20 service goes down but it does not send out emails. I have checked the=20 /var/log/webmin/webmin.log and I see no indication that an email was sent. = I=20 have monitored /var/log/maillog and there also is no activity there. I set= =20 up monitoring on another server running FreeBSD 4.10 and it functions fine.= =20 I copied the /usr/local/etc/webmin/status/config files to the 4.10 server= =20 and there is still no email sent when a service goes down. As I said I have= =20 checked webmin and mail logs and see no activity. Under the run this comman= d=20 section if a server goes up or down I even put the following "echo Dawg=20 OidentD Down| mail 911" but no mail is sent. Sendmail will send messages if= =20 I use the mail interface in webmin so I know it isn't sendmail. I have also= =20 checked /var/log/messages for errors and see none. I know the two servers I= =20 am using the module on run different versions of FreeBSD but why does it=20 work on one server and not the other? Where should I check next to get this= =20 functioning? |
