This is not really looking like it is being maintained? Is anyone keen to maintain this. I feel as though it is better NOT to have a bug tracker if it is not maintained. -- Phil Phil Daintree Logic Works Ltd - +64 (0)275 567890 http://www.logicworks.co.nz |

Sounds like a nice addition. Regarding the language descriptions, it needs some documenting for sure. I will write up some blurb. -- Phil Phil Daintree +64 (0)275 567890 GMT+12 http://www.logicworks.co.nz ExsonQu <hex...@gm...> wrote: >*Dear all:* > > One of webERP users come to our forum and ask about if the >pictures can show in Quotation, Invoice, PO etc. I've found out Thomas' >file >and give him, he made some improvements and add description and long >description alongside the pictures. *Dear all:* One of webERP users come to our forum and ask about if the pictures can show in Quotation, Invoice, PO etc. I've found out Thomas' file and give him, he made some improvements and add description and long description alongside the pictures. It seems nice. I'm wondering if we should make the picture and long description as a choice for webERP users? Thanks and best regards! *Hi, Phil:* You're absolutely right! It's a GREAT feature. The question here is how to make it clear to target customer and not confuse who do not use it. Maybe some help-text on the Stocks.php interface make it more clear? Thanks and best regards! You might be right Exson - I just set it so folks could see that multiple language descriptions were now an option. Although, in some respects by showing a couple of other languages this might prompt users to think - that's weird ... would be great if we could have Chinese their instead of french and Italian!! Then if you wished to have entirely Chinese invoices produced just change the customer's language to Chinese and the whole invoice interface and descriptions all change to Chinese.... I think this functionality is really quite a big one for many in the EU. I know of at least one business who is hanging out for this. well, this is configurable. you can choose which languages you wish to maintain from the setup. *Dear all:* I noticed that there are German, France, Italian item description list on the stock screen. I'm wondering if there are more items listed there. Is it suitable to list those items there which may occupy third or half screen of those stuff? And most of time, users will not use it. It quite confused IMHO. Best regards! Hi Exson: You are right. The way we use webERP we don't need it, but yes, "on the way" stock should be taken into consideration at invoice time. *Hi, Richard:* I've noticed that only the StockDispatch.php scripts take this into accounts, even the ConfirmDispatch_Invoice does not consider this situation. In my opinion, this should be fixed. I've figured it out - the function names are no longer necessary in the class="date" does it all now with Tim's new javascript file ... needs a touch of find and replace me thinks. *Hi,Phil:* Thank you for your reply. There are no existed template for bin control in this part. Yes, there is serial no control for stock transfer. We cannot copy it's solution for bin management. We'll create a new way to solve it. -:) Best regards! Hi Exson: If I understood properly, we faced the same problem few years ago and Tim found an incredibly easy way to control "on the way" items. If you check the item status script, you will see the "on transit" and "available" columns. Also the StockDispatch script takes into account the "in transit" stock, so it is not used as if it was on location. This solution is working OK for us to control stock in transit from and to several locations. Not sure if you need more details for the in transit items. *Dear all:* My colleague Thumb is developing the bin management day and night. Now we encounter some problem to discuss: 1. There are no controlled feature (such as serial no control) available for LocTransfers.php. Shall we add the feature? 2. Currently, when we initiate a loc transferring case, there is no local stock move records, it'll lead to even there is no items available, we still can proceed to another transferring. Thumb propose to add those transferring records to stockmoves and reduce the quantity in the from location. And a comprehensive solution is to handle the stock transfer just like PO and SO, which have a head table and line details table. Any comments are highly appreciated! Best regards! If you could feedback any issues you notice I will knock over anything that hits the list here.  </div> <div>   </div> <div> I do think the html 5 validation work and the addition of title/tooltips that Exson and I have been bashing through together with Tim's column sorting stuff makes for a great usability improvements. The installer is quite awesome too great job Exson and Icedlava... just a few tweaks left there too I think. There are also a number of bug fixes to 4.10.1 that need to get out there in a release too. </div> <div>   </div> <div> I've also been working on my webSHOP add on and updated the demo there too at http://www.weberp.org/webSHOP - of course this needs the latest webERP svn code too. </div> <div>   </div> <div id="ox-signature"> Phil <br/> <br/>Ph: +64 (0)275 567890 <br/>Skype: daintree <br/>http://www.logicworks.co.nz </div> </body></html> |
