Yes this is a good idea Rafael
There really is no need to have these in any other language so the 
gettext function is not necessary I think. Each country should be listed 
in it's native language.

Nope. I did not disabled any javascript or amything and I tested it with IE
and Chrome (cleaning all the cache) to be sure it was not a local issue.

Did you try it without clicking the update button?

            I've checked the scripts this morning and there is no bug found.
There is minimal revision just for the text is more compatible with webERP's
convention. 
           
            And I've tried the payments and all the result is OK.

            When you select the bank account, the javascript will work to
reload the page. Did you disable the javascrpt?

            The scripts modification introduce no new logic or any different
behavior.

Hi all:

Some details about  the Payments.php bug:

When a GL payment is done, the translations between currencies are OK. It
fails only for supplier's payments only.

Select a supplier working in non-functional currency
Enter a payment to the supplier
Select a bank account in the same currency as supplier and WHITOUT clicking
on "Update" button, enter an amount of Payment and click Accept and Process
Payment
If you check gltrans you'll see the currency translation hasn't been done,
it's posted in foreign currency (and it should be functional currency).

If you try the same operation but clicking on "Update" button, it works OK.

In rev 5820 it worked OK without clicking on Update button, and most of the
time users don't click it, (humans are lazy, and if we can save a button
click that apparently does nothing useful for final user, we don't click on
it).

Hope it helps brighter coders than myself to find the bug

other country. But in China, the COA is bascially a standard one, and those
not needed can leave it as it. So a fully one is better since there is no
minimal one.

Hi Exson,

I think you misunderstood, maybe I didn't explain very well. What I
meant was the CoA that the installer uses, whether it be English,
Chinese, or Swahili should only be the minimum required to get webERP
started and then the accountant can add in the accounts they require
for their organisation. This is the normal way ERP systems work.

The long term solution to have a best way to turn the forms modifiable do
not seems easy.

Meanwhile, we have FormDesigner.php.

My concerns with FormDesigner.php are:
1. Poor documentation. E.g. Nowhere indicates that the all coordinates are
measured from from the lower-left-corner of the sheet to the the
top-left-corner of the field. (Same problem in pdf generator scripts.)
2. The information that is there leads to mistakes.  E.g. "mm from the left
hand side of page", "mm from the top of the page", but measures are in
dots-per-inch (72 dpi = 25,4 mm).

If all agree, my proposal is to document and simplify FormDesigner.php and
to add narrative to help the users. Meanwhile, we continue the discussion
to find out a long term solution.

Except for the demo sql all the charts of account should be
minimalist. That is just enough to get webERP up and running. Every
company I have worked at, as accountant CFO or consultant has had a
radically different chart of account and I think to try and force a
"generalised" one is just going to put people off. I know some
countries do have a standard chart, but in my experience most do not.
I would never have considered using a system that enforced its CoA on
me.

          I think a new release is necessary. 

          The current version 4.11.1 cannot input number which is zero (Due
to my bad number check pattern). And company name in Chinese cannot input.
And no new stock can be input if in strict sql mode. 
          So I think the new release is a must.

          And moreover, please add the install scripts path to the .PO file
extracting scripts. Then the installation interface can be localized in the
future.

I think we need a script over-ride solution desperately.

A WYSIWG report writer as a separate application would be absolutely 
magnificent indeed and a really super mission for someone.
As I say the code in such a project would almost certainly fall outside 
the scope of webERP I fear - based on the current goals for the project.
