columns w/ foreign keys ... StockMoves, that is:

With the single transfer script ... I debated, albeit not long, over 
keeping it - I figured since it's just an extra step it wasn't that big 
a deal to remove it, but it doesn't really matter. Let me know if you 
need help correcting it.
I've been thinking a little about Chris' undertaking & supporting Serial 
stock... hopefully I'll have some thoughts together soon...

Yes I put them in - I did write a note but had an email issue - so it =
mustn't have gone!

I did feel that the single stock transfer script was still of use in the =
situation where an item has been transferred and the entry needs to be =
made. I agree the batch transfer scripts are better from a physical =
process and tracking view. I have started to make StockTransfers.php =
script work with the DefineStockTransfers.php class. Its still not quite =
there.

Chris's warehouse management exercise is quite a big one too - it is =
almost a repeat of the the serial stock item stuff but for those stock =
locations with warehouse management active - this would probably be =
another field in the Locations table. I understand Chris has the latest =
CVS scripts and is running live with them - so this will be the ultimate =
test - please do feed back any issues Chris.

I'm not sure I see why you need the BinRef in the LocStock table. It seems
like all you need is the new table I mentioned and a bunch of code similar
to the serial items stuff Jesse did.

nly one location loaded up in the system and was thinking that when you =
entered the ReOrder, it was the same for every LocStock Record, instead =

s been a long week and Im ready too kill a few people over the Warehouse=
 Bin Location Idea's (people I work with, no one in the group). =20

I will proceed with the first way then.  It will be simply adding a mast=
e Bin tables and adding the BinRef into the LocStock then.  I am using t=
he latest CVS, as of a couple days ago.  What I plan to do is do all of =
the changes then submit it all to you at once.  The problem that I am ru=
nning into is tht these changes that we will be making are bieng made to=
 2 live systems.  One System will be live as of Tommorow.  It will conta=
in 29,000 Part Numbers, of which will be 85% of them will have on On-Han=
d value greater than 0.  This is primarily a DRP system.  It will act as=
 a System replenishment system for a Very  Large Supply Chain Company.  =

propose we make a couple changes to the StockMaster and LocStock Tables. =

the LocStock Table.  Because if a part has a ReOrder of 35,  its not 35 =
Per Location, Normally its 35 for a Total OnHand.=20

add a Table to the DB called Bins, In it would LocCode, BinCode.  Then =
put a Field in LocStock That Corresponds to BinCode.  This way you can =
see what Bins are currently available, and have a Screen on the =
Inventory Setup Screen For Bin Maintenance.  That way on your PO =
receiving screen, you can select which Bin your Stock Goes Into. The =
other way would be creating Bins on the Fly without the Bin Table, and =
just the BinCode in LocStock.  I prefer the first method.

I've not done anything that requires a real warehouse, =
shipping/fulfilling lots of stuff, etc... that said, I think re-order =
levels need to some how be maintained for each location. Possibly leave =
everything as is (also makes things easier) and just add the ReOrder =
level to StockMaster and use it as a default to be used for each =
location. But I really think people will want to be able to manage =
inventory on a location by location basis as well as globally.

You can do a check in the header.inc to see if the browser if Javascript
compliant, if it isn't then insert your PHP code instead of Javascript
code.

think we have been getting caught up on semantics.  The way I was thinking
is that if they turn the javascript options on then they can get the added
javascript functionality.  However, anything required in the system would

I dont think so -  there is no javascript in the script.

I don't have an option to use Javascript in the user preferences since as I 
recall we agreed Javascript would always be optional - ie the system could 
be used via an alternative PHP only way. eg. Moving focus between form 
fields could be done with the mouse. If javascript is in the script and the 
browser is not javascript capable then it is ignored and not processed - 
there is no need to have a disable/enable javascript option to my mind. I 
may be wrong here - but I didn't include this option in the UserSettings.php 
script.

browse the local file system to select a file. Have a look at the serialitem 
file upload that Jesse did - If you receive a PO item and select file 
type.....

      I can't tell much just from the Interface except that it =
definitely looks like there are no Items... My first thought was that =
you may have busted the SelectProduct lookup, but then I would have =
expected to see something on the Inventory Status by Location report.

      You may want to double check the database it is working against. =
Have you manually gone into the database and had a look??
