(For the purpose of this email, I may have confused the word "invoice" with "order".) I have several Inventory Categories for things. KEYS Common Keys LOCKS Common Locks LABOUR Labour TRIP Service Trip Charge KEYS_A Automotive Keys etc. Now take the TRIP category. I have several items: 33777 33778 33779 etc. I would like in the invoice screen to be able to have all items in the "LABOUR" and "TRIP" categories to have 3 choices. (And I don't need these with actual hard inventory. Only the items with a "labor" stock type set on them.) I want 3 radio buttons that read "Regular Rates", "After Hours x1.5", and "After Hours x2". Then when I add for instance "33777" to an invoice, I will be able to click the appropriate after hours radio button if it is work done after hours and the rate will automatically change to 1.5 the regular rate, or 2 times the regular rate and then reflect that on the invoice. I know I could either: enter new inventory categories for after hours charges (Very time consuming to do and update with 500 plus items that change every year as it is) or Manually calculate the after hours rate on the order screen (which is what I do now). I'd just like to be able to click a button and have the rates adjust without me having to calculate on a calculator what the rates are. Plus, if a customer is there watching me type up an invoice, they don't have to see me change a $50 charge to $100 and wonder if I'm up to no good. If the radio button is there they'd probably see that I'm being straight with them. -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/Wish-Request%3A-Different-Labor-Rates-tf3638391.html#a10160024 Sent from the web-erp-developers mailing list archive at Nabble.com. |
