The only problem I saw with MP3 would be file size, but so be it. I can keep it down fairly well if we use some cunning looping (in the player software) and I aim at MPEG 2 Layer 3 with 56kbit/s-22050Hz-16bit-Stereo? Or use mono and not have any cool pans but it will be half size... Another possibility I considered was tracker modules, if we can use one with opensource tools. The advantages are loops, trackswitching, et al, while possibly maintaining portions of the music - perfect for ambient/reactive music. However, that would be a lot more bother. Me & my friend can easily come up with a few pieces we will be happy to release copyright of (copyleft music anyone?) and MP3 up. I will see him and record in a couple of weeks, until then we are both getting ideas together.
