When opening vym 2.6.7 (from vym-2.6.8.dmg), a message is displayed with the following contents:
“vym.app” can’t be opened because the identity of the developer cannot be confirmed.
Your security preferences allow installation of only apps from the App Store and identified developers.
“vym.app” is on the disk image “vym-2.6.8.dmg”. Chrome downloaded this disk image today at 08:56 from sourceforge.net.
Overriding this behavior via the Security & Private settings (Open Anyway) shows an Open/Cancel dialog. When choosing Open, nothing happens. Vym is not started.
I've tested this on MacOS Mojave. After upgrading to Catalina, the unable to open gym.app message is shown, but I can no longer opt to open it via Security & Private settings.
Please let me know if additional details are needed.
2.6.7 is packaged wrong (without qtdeploy) please use
https://sourceforge.net/projects/vym/files/Development/vym-2.7.510-mac-big-sur-by-iuqwer9.zip/download
The application image should be opend with Right Click->open , and "open anyway" to avoid
can’t be opened because the identity of the developer cannot be confirmed.
and set vym-2.7.510-mac-big-sur-by-iuqwer9.zip/download as default for download

Deleted the vym-2.6.8.dmg now, thanks.
I'll try to build natively soon, let's see.
It is still pointing to wrong location,
To point the right location you would have to tick the OSX
like in the attachment
Deleted the .dmg in Development folder, I'd guess the "general Mac release" would be the latest file marked for OSX in one of the releases. I am a bit lost what ist still wrong exactly.
