The name-value-pair in BOOST is explained at: http://www.boost.org/libs/serialization/doc/wrappers.html#nvp The point here is that, if we want to do readable text or XML serialization, we need tags, which is incompatible to current vsl design. As Ian has expressed, it will be non-trivial to change and to implement the new scheme. Gary |
