Just a heads up ... I'm currently working on building VXL DLLs. This will be useful to us at GE next year. I'm following the method used by VTK and figuring out a few things as I go. Once I get this working in vxl/core I'll check-in and e-mail the lists with details of what I have done and some questions. Then, I'll tweak the technique based on suggestions and plan for expansion. I have about half of vxl/core done and this looks promising. Hopefully I won't run into any major gotchas.
