[Vxl-maintainers] google summer of code projects useful for vxl

Hi,

As you may know Google Summer of Code 2013 Student application ends
this Friday, May 3. I was wondering if there is any project of the
mentoring orgs that come to mind that could eventually be most useful
for the development of VXL, as I am mentoring a few capable students
on this.

* Boost
* Open Motion Planning Library,
* mlpack: scalable C++ machine learning library
* Shogun Machine Learning
* OpenCV itself
* PyGMO Python Parallel Global Multiobjective Optimizer
* SimpleCV
* Blender
* BRL-Cad
* Some other robotics or numerics org

If there any orgs with which you have relevant contacts,
or if you have any slight preference among the above,
kindly let me know.

Last year we won a few spots with Scilab. This year we could do more
strongly vision-related projects.
