Please feel free to make adjustments to the wiki page if you find a combination that works well for you -- it's always a challenge to find the right balance between overly long and detailed documentation and too-vague-and-thus-not-useful documentation. There was definitely a time when the Windows installation docs were adequate, but I don't think I've run through them in a couple of years, and I'm sure the available options have exploded since then. If you're still stuck toward the end of the week, please let me know and I'll dig into this some more when I return from vacation. I do have things working on a 64-bit Windows 7 machine, so I can at least tell you which version I used (though as I say, I set this all up a couple of years ago, so I'm sure my own PHP is well out of date by now). - Demian ________________________________________ From: Bernhard Eversberg [ev...@bi...] Sent: Monday, June 16, 2014 9:21 AM To: vuf...@li... A lifesaving tip > I got from this list was: even if you're running 64 - install the 32 > bit versions. So while it certainly sounded a bit unintuitive it > worked for us. Not sure if any of this will apply to Windows 7. The > environmental variables (and the order in which you have them) are > pretty important also. > Many thanks. However, The situation being as diverse and unintuitive as it appears, one would really be very grateful if someone came up with a precise list of -- exactly which files (versions) to download from where -- how to install them (where exactly to put them so they will definitely work) -- which files to edit in what ways And ideally, where else might a list like this be more welcome than in https://vufind.org/wiki/vufind2:installation_windows Currently, proceeding along the lines this text suggests, doesn't necessarily lead to something of practical use.
