Yes, sorry, that's a 2.x patch. Hopefully it won't be too difficult to adapt to 1.3, however -- if you just search through the code for where "LimitCodes" is loaded, you can probably do a little copy-paste-and-adjust to make a similar modification. If you get stuck, let me know and I can dig into the specifics of where in 1.x this is happening. - Demian ________________________________ From: Stephen Hovey [ho...@bu...] Sent: Wednesday, July 10, 2013 1:40 PM To: Demian Katz; vuf...@li... Subject: RE: Quick worldcat/LimitCodes question This a vufind 2.X patch? (We are on 1.3) From: Demian Katz [mailto:dem...@vi...] Sent: Wednesday, July 10, 2013 1:27 PM To: Stephen Hovey; vuf...@li... Subject: RE: Quick worldcat/LimitCodes question Interesting -- it appears that the LimitCodes config setting adds an oclcsymbol parameter to the WorldCat search results API request. As far as I can tell, this has no effect. If I change the behavior to add the parameter to the holdings request rather than the search request, then it does actually have an effect... but I'm not sure if that was the original intent of the setting! This undocumented config.ini setting has existed since before I joined the VuFind project, so I'm not totally sure of its intended purpose. The attached patch will make it affect holdings, if that's what you need. Does anyone know if oclcsymbol has any meaning in the context of the WorldCat search API? I'm not sure if we should deprecate this setting, keep it as-is because it's doing something I'm not seeing, or change it to affect holdings.... - Demian ________________________________ From: Stephen Hovey [ho...@bu...] Sent: Wednesday, July 10, 2013 12:36 PM To: vuf...@li...<mailto:vuf...@li...> Subject: [VuFind-General] Quick worldcat/LimitCodes question I’m missing something.. In config.ini – if I put our oclc code in on the limitcodes line, shouldn’t I then only see our library in the holdings ? I’m asking because I see nearby libraries (colleges mostly), when I expected to see just us. If it’s behaving correctly, then what is the purpose of LimitCodes in the config? ________________________________ The Buffalo & Erie County Public Library System has more than 2.6 million materials available for borrowing including books, eBooks, DVDs, music and more.
